Our story

Guidance for the students who need it most.

KeyMentor began with a simple observation: the students who most need guidance are often the ones least likely to get it.

KeyMentor students

We're a team of students, educators, and mentors who came together after seeing how confusing and isolating the journey through high school can feel, especially for first-generation and lower-income students.

Instead of building another complicated system, we created a platform rooted in empathy, clarity, and real human connection. Our mentors recently walked the same path, so they get it.

Starting in 9th grade, we help students build a four-year plan, explore careers, and prepare for college with someone in their corner the whole way. It isn't tutoring. It's guidance, and it's free.
