Before you apply
What we ask of you
- How much time it takes
- It's up to you and your mentor. Most pairs meet for about 30–60 minutes every few weeks and message in between. There's no minimum commitment and no penalty for a busy month.
- Who can mentor
- If you're a college student or recent grad, yes — head to Become a Mentor. Someone on our team reads every application, and we confirm where you study before your profile goes live.
- Who you'd be mentoring
- High school students in grades 9 through 12 in Middletown and greater Orange County, NY — especially first-generation and lower-income students who don't have easy access to college and career guidance. Any student in our area is welcome.
